Goodreads Monday (1/1/2018)

Goodreads Monday is a meme hosted by Lauren @Page Turner,  and the idea is to post a book that’s on your TBR pile and show it off. This is a great way to show off books I have not yet managed to read!

This week I have chosen:

Title:  Windwitch (The Witchlands #2)

Author: Susan Dennard

Published: January 10th 2017 by TorTeen

Goodreads Summary:

After an explosion destroys his ship, the world believes Prince Merik, Windwitch, is dead. Scarred yet alive, Merik is determined to prove his sister’s treachery. Upon reaching the royal capital, crowded with refugees, he haunts the streets, fighting for the weak—which leads to whispers of a disfigured demigod, the Fury, who brings justice to the oppressed.

When the Bloodwitch Aeduan discovers a bounty on Iseult, he makes sure to be the first to find her—yet in a surprise twist, Iseult offers him a deal. She will return money stolen from him, if he locates Safi. Now they must work together to cross the Witchlands, while constantly wondering, who will betray whom first?

After a surprise attack and shipwreck, Safi and the Empress of Marstok barely escape with their lives. Alone in a land of pirates, every moment balances on a knife’s edge—especially when the pirates’ next move could unleash war upon the Witchlands.

I can’t believe it’s the very first day of a new year already!!! So…HAPPY 2018!!! Since it is the first of January, I guess I should come up with some New Years Resolutions:

  1. Read more to baby S
  2. Read more for myself
  3. Finish my masters

I think those are goals that I can actually keep up with this year. Did you make any resolutions?

Windwitch has been on my TBR shelf since January of last year, so I think it is definitely time to dust it off and read it! I read Truthwitch in like 2 days last year, and loved it a lot so I have high hopes for this one! Which I think is why I keep putting it off, I don’t want to be disappointed if I don’t like it as much as the first.

I am currently working on my master's degree in Environmental Science. I am an avid reader as well as a movie enthusiast! I currently live at the bottom of Texas with my husband and three dogs.
