Goodreads Monday (5/15/2017)

Goodreads Monday is a meme hosted by Lauren @Page Turner,  and the idea is to post a book that’s on your TBR pile and show it off. This is a great way to show off books I have not yet managed to read!

This week I have chosen:

13reasonswhy

Title: Thirteen Reasons Why

Author: Jay Asher

Published: October 18th 2007 by Razorbill

Goodreads Summary:

Clay Jensen returns home from school to find a mysterious box with his name on it lying on his porch. Inside he discovers thirteen cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker, his classmate and crush who committed suicide two weeks earlier.

On tape, Hannah explains that there are thirteen reasons why she decided to end her life. Clay is one of them. If he listens, he’ll find out how he made the list.

Through Hannah and Clay’s dual narratives, debut author Jay Asher weaves an intricate and heartrending story of confusion and desperation that will deeply affect teen readers.

I finished the Netflix show a few weeks ago, and I really enjoyed it! I just happened to be going through my Goodreads to-read section and noticed that it was in there since 2015! After watching the show, I am definitely interested to see how similar the two are and what liberties the show took. I have a friend reading it now, so hopefully I can borrow it from him sometime soon!

What is on your TBR shelf this week?
